WALKING DISTANCE FROM CABINS - OVER THE CORRAN FERRY IN ARDGOUR

  •  A 10 minute walk from the cabins northward along the pavement by the A82, is the slipway and terminal for the Corran Ferry. The ferry crosses Corran Narrows (the narrowest point of Loch Linnhe) continually throughout the day, and is free to pedestrians & cyclists. An inland ferry, the service connects 'mainland' Lochaber with the Ardgour, Morven & Ardnamurchan areas. Immediately on the Ardgour side are several outlets for food.

  • Please note that the last ferry back from the Ardgour side is at 9.20pm. (Miss this and you'd have a 42 mile journey around the loch to get back to Inchree!)

  • View the Corran Ferry timetable.

  • Directions to Corran Ferry from the cabins: From the bottom of our site, where RoamWest pub is, walk out along a path for 50 metres to a right-curving bend on the A82.

  • Cross the A82 at this corner. (being careful as it is a blind corner) Walk northwards on the pavement, in direction of Fort William, for 300 metres. You will see the a path sloping down to the left, with sign for Corran Ferry slipway.

  • Ardgour Ales: A brewery with beer tent. Pizza service also available every Friday night and Sunday afternoon.

  • Pre-ordering required from their website for Friday night pizzas. Fresh bread & breakfast rolls also available.

  • Turn right off ferry on the Ardgour side, then walk 400 mts along the tarmac road, past the houses. After the church you will see Ardgour Ales on the left.
